Detective George Saidler Of The San Antonio, Texas Cold Cases Has Retired
page66bar.gif
A Big Thank You From Our Family To Detective George Saidler
bluelightbar2510bw.gif
My sister Sheila Smith-Ramirez(Emily's Mom) asked me in  particular to add this page to Emily's web site. She said that Detective Saidler was one of the very few policemen working on Emily's murder case over the past 17 years that she was able to sit down and talk with and get answers to the questions that she asked. Detective Saidler worked on Emily's murder case along with Heidi Seaman's murder case back in 1993, until he was taken off of the case.

In order to be fair to law enforcement, I want to send a huge Thank You to Detective Saidler of the San Antonio Police Department-Cold Case Unit- from my entire family.
Det. Saidler not only saw me immediately the few times I went to see him, he also took my calls or called me back each and every time I wanted to talk to him. Det. Saidler did not(Pooh-Pooh) for any ideas or opinions I had, and he was always courteous to me. He never acted superior (as some do) and encouraged me to send him any weird emails, letters, or phone calls that I received.

Detective Saidler acted in the manner that I would expect a police officer should act when contacting family members already destroyed by such a horrible tragedy as our family has had to endure.

Detective Saidler is no longer a detective. He has retired after many long years in this terribly difficult, but necessary job. During his long career as a San Antonio Cold Case Detective, he has worked on and solved some of the  most difficult cases in the San Antonio, Texas area. Our family wishes Detective Saidler our very best and many thanks for his kindness and the way that he treated our family while working on Emily's murder case. God bless you  and may you enjoy your retirement.
From Emily's Family
Sheila, Theresa, Elizabeth, & Jake
