  Well, this makes the 18th year of 4th of July's that our
family has now spent without Emily and Emilio. As sad as that is, we have been very lucky to have found so many wonderful
friends that we have made with other families who have lost their children also and know how it feels. I think that's
what makes these friendships as strong as they are, is just knowing from experience what each and every one of these
people has been through from traveling that long dark and gloomy path of grief over our children. Even though these families
may not have lost each of their children in the same manner,(disease, accident, or murder), they still know that deep heart-wrenching
hurt and loss that each feel. They can identify with one another, where others have no imagination of this sort of loss. This
is the reason that I do create a page in memory of these special Angels and their families, is to let each family know, that
their angels are not forgotten and will always be remembered. It is so much easier for me to take, thinking that Emily &
Emilio are in Heaven surrounded by all of these Angel friends, celebrating this holiday together. What a joyous thought that
is, to see all of our Angels together loving one another, like all of their families have learned to love each of the other
Angel families. Don't get me wrong, it is so very hard to have to face each day without our children, but having each other
takes some of that pain away. I would like to take this time to send a very special Happy Of 4th ofJuly, to each of our
Angels friends and their families below. Please know that each of you holds a very special place in our hearts and in our
lives and that we pray that one day each and every one of these families will one day have their real Independence Day by
being reunited with our Angels and the pain of grief will finally be freed from our hearts and souls.

Emily Jeanette Garcia and her unborn son Emilio on February 25, 1993 in Canyon Lake, Texas. Emily was only 15 years old at
the time of her murder and pregnant with a little boy. Emily had been reported missing from San Antonio, Texas on February
12, 1993, which was 13 days before she had been murdered and her body found. If anyone has any information about Emily, about
